Shobha Mallarapu founded Anvaya Solutions in 2008 after 8 years at General Motors and 10 years at Intel Corporation in various capacities. She leads her company in conducting security projects in SMUD and the State of California to raise security awareness at the leadership level in addition to other security services such as risk and vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, policy development, incident management and forensics.

Shobha is a certified project management professional and a certified Information Systems Auditor and is a member of Project Management Institute and ISACA. She is a graduate of the FBI Citizen’s Academy, and a Member of Intragard, the FBI’s elite civilian security organization.

She holds a master’s degree in electronics engineering. Her published works and conference presentations can be found in the IEEE publications. She was issued two patents in circuit design and currently have 3 patents pending in security engineering.

She is also a member of ISACA – an organization for information security professionals, and Project Management Institute – an organization for certified project management professionals.

Shobha educates small businesses pro bono on Cyber Security and has spoken extensively on Cyber Security at various events such as NAWBO, Women’s Business Center, Small Business Development Center, and Department of Transportation. She also presented at the IT Security Symposium at UC Davis in June 2015.

Shobha is very active member of the Sacramento community. She serves as a board member of National Association of Women Business Owners Sacramento Valley and is a member of the Sacramento Municipal Utility District’s Community Advisory Panel. She is an active volunteer in robotics and a mentor for robotics teams. She also volunteers as an organizer of robotics tournaments. She has donated thousands of hours in promoting STEM through PC Pal, Society of Women Engineers, National Engineers Week and Robotics, by volunteering at various youth sports leagues, and by serving as the PTO president at both middle and high schools. As a proud mother of two Eagle Scouts, she is also an active volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America.
